Premise & Rules
PREMISE
Caleb Cleveland and the Imaginary Island is a spiritual continuation of the adventure begun in the Balance DWRP game. Join us for a path-building Island getaway with your pal Angus McDonald, collaborate with other reclaimers to solve the mystery of the Imaginary Island, and call upon your past bonds to save Faerun-- and yourselves.
Planned for about a 3 month duration, this alternate endgame will include a whole new player-influenced mission perfect for all Reclaimers, including past drops who would like another chance to engage with the story and new players by invitation! You'll also see yourselves finally reckoning with the Hunger and determining the fate of the entire multiverse.
All characters will start with memory loss induced by--whatever the heck caused you to end up on the Island, probably?--and will recover from this strange amnesia at your preferred pace! Except, of course, for the memories of how you all ended up here. Progress through the Island via mod-rolled RNG requests and unlock new areas, fun items, and important info through your efforts.
It'll be a tough mission, but it could be worse, as far as vacations go. Just don't forget your sunscreen!
1. Be amazing. We want Imaginary Island to be a fun and comfortable place for everyone. We know not everyone will get along all the time, but please do your best to conduct yourselves with maturity and kindness! As navigators, it's our job to make sure this ship stays out of rocky waters, so to speak. So, while we hope we won't ever have to step in on something like that, know that we will not tolerate nasty behavior in Imaginary Island.
2. Be present. Activity requirements for Imaginary Island are fairly relaxed: a required monthly check-in, plus an optional maximum of 3 bonus threads, if you'd like to collect rewards with them. We need y'all to be around to tell this story with us, but we don't want it to be too much pressure! Try to post to the activity page on time and utilize the drop/hiatus post as necessary. And if extenuating circumstances ever arise concerning activity, let us know and we'll work with you!
3. Be creative. If you have an idea that doesn't fit into the existing parameters or format we've laid out, talk to us! We can't prepare for everything. And, while we will be trying to maintain game balance and fairness to the best of our ability, we want to encourage creative problem-solving and engagement in Imaginary Island.
4. Be sensible. We trust that we don't need a long list of rules related to basic RP tenets! Y'all know the drill. IC =/= OOC, no godmodding/powergaming, try to stay IC, use content warnings, etc. Use your common sense and best judgment; we trust you guys! As always, if you're not sure about anything, just ask us. 🌴
