I, uh...

[ Tommy takes a moment to look out the window, although the view isn't exactly scenic. Where is this place? He was asleep, wasn't he? And who exactly was this guy? After a moment, he realizes he's just left the question hanging, and responds. ]

I'm Tommy. Tommy Oliver.

[ Something in the question catches in Tommy's mind, and he adds quickly: ]

Should you remember seeing me?

Tommy.

[ The name is rolled off as both a greeting and a word that hasn't been used Ever, and will soon be fossilized for eternity. A mere memory of Something. The window is still only a pane of pure, unyielding white, but for a moment - it stares back. ]

I should. You're one of her Reclaimers, aren't you?

"Her Reclaimers?" Who? I don't work for anybody, if that's what you're asking.

[ He's distracted momentarily by another snatch of memory. He doesn't work for anybody now, but maybe he did? He remembers a flash of green and the word "Empress," but that's all before he speaks again. ]

Are these Reclaimers friends of yours?

[ A familiar intuition that he may in fact be deep in enemy territory has arisen in Tommy's mind. What had merely seemed very strange a moment ago is beginning to feel actively dangerous. ]

[There is a laugh, or something like it, gentle and charming. Comforting.]

No? I wonder if that's really true. If you don't now, you will.

[A Hand brushes imaginary dust off of tidy lapels. The Man leans forward slightly in His seat.]
