CLAIMS
Claims will open on Friday, July 3 in preparation for game start on Friday, July 10, after which they will stay open indefinitely. All applications received after game start should receive a response within 72 hours. There is a character cap of 40 and a cast cap of 6.Character cap: 24/40
- There are no reserves — first come, first served.
- In the event of two claims for the same character, preference will always be given to the version played in Balance RP.
- Players have 72 hours to submit revisions. If they fail to do so within that time period, their claim will be rejected and they will have to wait 1 week to resubmit their claim.
- Each player can have a maximum of two characters. However, if you would like to claim a second character, please check with us here first!
- Claims will remain open until the conclusion of the first arc of Imaginary Island, after which time they will close for plot reasons. More concrete dates will be made available as the first arc progresses, but this time frame is anticipated to be about 1.5-2 months (meaning claims will close around the end of August or beginning of September 2020).

Canon Point:
Age: Real/apparent.
Balance Import? Yes/no.
History: For original characters that did not participate in Balance RP. All other claims do not need to fill this section out. Please give us an idea of the original world your character is coming from and the events that have led up to this point in their life. Keep this brief; we'd like an absolute maximum of 700 words.
Personality: For original characters that did not participate in Balance RP. All other claims do not need to fill this section out. Please give us a brief idea of what your character is like! No more than a couple of paragraphs are necessary. Feel free to format as bullet points or more formally — it's your choice.
Character ability: If your character has a canon ability that you would like to adapt into the setting, describe it here. You may pick only one canon ability. Gauge whether it is overpowered for the setting and, if so, please describe how you plan to nerf it for the purposes of Island. We may ask for further tweaks if we have concerns about its functionality in-game.
Inventory: List everything your character has on them at arrival on Island. If your character is a Balance import, they can bring everything they had on the Moon Base as long as you list it here. If your character is coming in fresh, they can have one non-magical weapon on hand.
Sample: We'd like to see a sample of any length, as long as you feel it's representative of your character's voice and personality. For Balance Transfers, this is where you can put the link to your old app or a thread from Balance.
Paths
Primary Path: Please list your character's first chosen path.
Secondary Path: Please list your character's second chosen path. If you haven't decided on one yet, write "undecided."
Advanced Path: Please list your character's advanced path, if applicable. If you haven't decided on one yet, write "undecided". If you are opting to max a secondary path instead of taking an advanced path, write "none" or "N/A".
Why these paths?: Let us know in a few sentences why you've chosen the paths you did for your character! How do they fit with the character's personality, or in what interesting ways do they contrast? If you are grandfathering in paths that your character previously had in Balance, you do not need to provide an explanation, but for any new paths we'd like to know your reasoning.
Path Actions: Provide a list of path actions your character will have access to on Island. As a reminder, Balance imports have the opportunity to arrive on Island with all path actions maxed out; if you'd like to take that option, please list all path actions here. New characters will have all primary path actions when they arrive on Island.

Inventory: Morpher and communicator, both useless without a connection to the Morphing Grid. Dragon Dagger, just a fancy looking knife with a built in flute without a Dragonzord around to command.
Sample: [He sits up on the bright sunlit beach, blinking as his eyes adjust to the glare of the light coming off of the water. He gets to his feed, knocking sand off of his jeans and his green sneakers before looking around. It's immediately obvious something's off. He notices a tree flickering, and the same rock 3 or 4 times on the beach, first. Plus, where was... He frowns. He doesn't know what landmarks he's expecting to find on the beach, but they're not here. Looking around, it seems the only thing that is is a small set of cabanas.]
Well, nothing to do but see what's up, I guess.
[Shrugging to himself, he heads up the beach, looking around the cabanas and finding nothing but a strange vending machine and some couches. Still, the place seems like it'll be passable as shelter, so he makes sure to note its location anyway.]
Helllooo? Anybody here? I'm Tommy!
[Nothing. He frowns again.]
Man. Where is everybody?
[He's turning to leave the cabanas when something catches his eye: resting on a green pillow on one of the tables is the strangest looking dagger he's ever seen. The blade looks like its flats are lacquered green, the edge left bare steel, but in the middle it seems to be tube-shaped, black metal covered in gold-accented valves. It reminds him of nothing so much as a clarinet. The hilt has similar gold buttons, and he lifts it, lightly tossing it into the air and catching it in a backward grip.]
Whoa.
[He swings the dagger a few times, the blade slicing through the air as he utters a few kiais, before throwing in a few punches at the air followed by a spinning kick. He smiles down at the dagger as he gets out of the karate stance. In the middle of the cross guard is a strange angular symbol that he doesn’t recognize, but something about it seems important. He doesn’t have synesthesia, but something about the symbol seems green, greener even than the blade. He tosses the dagger and catches it one more time. The weight of it feels nice. It feels like he's used a dagger like this before...but that's not quite right. He's used this dagger before. He looks down at it in his hand again, and is struck suddenly by the certainty that not only has this dagger been used to do bad things, but he was the one that did them. He shakes his head, tightening his grip on it.]
...No. No way, that isn't me.
[Still, there’s doubt there. Isn’t me is not wasn’t me, he thinks to himself. He's not sure who he's talking to or even what he's denying having done, but the quiet assertion to himself quells the vague guilt a bit. He lifts the dagger again, finding to his surprise there is a mouthpiece built into the crossguard; maybe the clarinet comparison is more apt than he realizes. Without hesitating he takes a breath, blowing into it and pressing the buttons on the side in the order his muscle memory tells him to. The dagger...flute(?) produces a sound that's positively trumpety, a ringing “DAAAAAHN-DAHN-DUHN-DUHNAHANAAAAAAAAAAH.” He looks to the ocean, expecting something to happen in response (although he's not sure why), but nothing does.]
...Well, I don't think I'll need a flute, but I'll definitely take a dagger.
[He flips the blade in his hand a few times and, realizing he has nothing to holster it with, catches it once more in the reverse grip before heading inland.]
Paths
Primary Path: Paladin
Secondary Path: Fighter
Advanced Path: Dragoon
Why this path?: Swearing to uphold goodness and justice in an endless battle with evil while under the protection of “The Power” is basically early 90's children's show for swearing an oath to a god to protect the innocent. Although Monk stuck out as a very possible secondary path given Tommy's degree of martial arts ability, while fighting as the Green Ranger Tommy does not shy away from the use of weaponry, and the combative options for Fighter seemed like a better fit. As for Dragoon, someone who frequently shouts “I need Dragonzord power!,” draws his power from the Dragon Coin, and wields the Dragon Dagger and the Dragon Shield when back in his own dimension seemed like the kinda guy who needed to be a Dragoon.
